About

the Archive looks at contemporary hospitality through a simple question: what makes a place feel distinct today?

Notes on Swiss hospitality

The Archive is a project by Giorgia Kostka, born out of an ongoing interest in how places are conceived and experienced, and a feeling that the most interesting hospitality projects are rarely the loudest ones.

It began as a simple editorial impulse: to document the places across Switzerland that felt worth paying attention to. The ones with a clear sense of who they are, a considered aesthetic, and an experience that holds together as a whole.

Through visits, interviews and ongoing research, the Archive explores how these places are conceived and communicated.

This perspective guides the Studio, where the Archive works directly with hotels and guesthouses to bring greater clarity to their concept, guest experience and storytelling.

Alongside the Archive, the Slow Selection is where I share my thoughts and observations on contemporary hospitality.
